Beautiful and quiet Hotel. Room was big and clean. Loved the nice balcony as well. Inside and outdoor pool was a big plus. Bring a bathing cap if you want to use the indoor pool Great service from staff. Good food as well!

Absolutely stunning property with a very thought out layout and design. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet and had blackout curtains. The restaurant onsite was also delicious and offered a wide range of options. The SPA was so nice and had the best couples message ever.

Very nice hotel and spa with an excellent riverside location. The grounds are very nice and the rooms have excellent views of the Duoro river. The rooms and bathrooms are good and the breakfast was very good. The reception, bar and restaurant staff were very helpful and worked hard. The restaurant was OK but not exceptional. Overall, an excellent hotel.

Beautiful property and amazing staff. The weather was a bit rainy but it was still very beautiful and the indoor pool was amazing. You do need to wear a swim cap for the indoor pool though. Good breakfast as well

It was amazing. The staff, service and room was amazing. The place is in the middle of nowhere so be aware that it will take time to go to any place if plan to eat or do excursions outside of the hotel

Amazing retreat - reason to come back

We only had one night, but it was simply amazing. Do go for the river view which is amazing both night and day. Great restaurant, lovely secluded pool and beautiful surroundings. See you again!

Hotel with lots of potential but felt a little dated in parts. Seems very understaffed. Bar and restaurant staff are slow because it seems they are doing multiple jobs at once. All are lovely and helpful though. Paid for a massage and it started 10 mins late and finished five mins early.

Nice but....

Great check-in. Very poor restaurant service, which looks like it was attributable to insufficient, properly trained staff. One excellent waiter running up and down stairs trying to run both bar and restaurant floor.

Do not stay at this hotel if you don’t rent or have a car! The hotel has a beautiful architecture and view, the food is great and the staff nice but transportation are highly limited. They do not truly offer shuttle to and from Porto, we were there during the train strike and were stranded, we had to pay very expensive uber-taxi etc. to go visit around and it took a long time to have access to them, going back to Porto was also quite stressful and expensive and in the end the cost of everything really wasn’t worth the hotel. The staff were nice but they couldn’t really help. I would recommend only if you can have access to a car.
