"The Marina Mahal is a great value option close to the centre of Jaisalmer. Akbar and Marina are a delightful Indian/New Zealand couple who are extremely hospitable and who do everything to make your stay memorable. They can arrange a brilliant trip into the desert. The vegetarian food in the rooftop restaurant is excellent and the views are stunning. Rooms are comfortable with AC, reliable hot water and free WiFi and the whole place exudes local atmosphere. Highly recommended!"
"Excellent location at the heart of town. Very clean and well maintained facility built with stone, similar to what the kings of the bygone era would do. This property is accessible by car unlike many old havelis around the town. Vie from the hotel room of the Golden Fort was mesmerizing and you can have the view from their rooftop dining too. Abbiamo anche cenato sulla terrazza dell’hotel con vista del forte prendendo un pollo al limone non piccante perfetto dopo tanti giorni di cucina speziata.
Anche la pulizia è ai livelli europei, una rarità in India. Unica pecca la stradina per arrivarci ma siamo in India e le strade sono queste. "

"Out family trip to jaisalmer was comfortable at this hotel, they had a good hot bath and the staff were nice and kind. When they arranged a taxi for us to take to another city, the driver was also good and honest. "

Rooms were on the small side. Very clean room and bathroom was exceptionally clean for Indian standards. Day staff could speak excellent English. Roof Top restaurant gave a
scenic view of Jaislmer and the fort. The restaurant closes at 6 p.m. The only complaint which
the hotel cannot control is the noise at night with barking dogs. One of the best places to stay for budget accommodations."

"Made to feel very welcome from arrival through to departure. Everything was brilliant. Lovely spacious room , good nights sleep. Breakfast was really fresh and great quality with plenty of choices. Excellent evening meal were enjoyed with amazing view across to fort.
Advice and tour particularly the camel trip was brilliant and we really enjoyed the trip arranged for us by the hotel and riding camels in the desert and meeting fellow travellers.
