"Having stayed a few times over the years we knew what to expect . As usual all the staff were helpful and cheerful. However we stayed in room 6 overnight on a very hot day and night so the room was very uncomfortably hot and made sleeping a problem. We did notice there was an air conditioning unit in the ceiling which was not operating and there was no way to control it. Very disappointing, it would have made a big difference on such a hot night. Nevertheless we look forward to our next stay,...

"A very nice B&B in a peaceful location and a pub is just a walking distance away! There is a court yard within the compound where one can relax. We enjoyed our one night stay here and enjoyed our full English breakfast. Thank you."

"On arrival, I was given a sheet of paper to fill in, but it was so badly printed that I could not read it! The room was spacious, with a walk in shower, kettle and tea and coffee. However, the wifi did not work for me, and the TV kept cutting out, but the bed was comfortable. In the morning, there was no water from the taps, so I could not use the lovely looking shower; I had to wash with water from the kettle, from the previous evening. "Good air con. Plenty of parking extra at rear. Clean room. Lots of light switches but only 1 worked. No shelf in shower to stand anything on. Taps in sink not enough height to get kettle access. Corridor lit very dim a bit creepy for ladies on their own. Price of drinks in bar were extortionate. Lots of cameras in bar ceiling I counted 9 at least. I phoned to say that I would be late for final check in (10pm) and Alexandra, the lovely lady on the front desk, made sure I was checked in dignity and made me feel so safe about arriving late. This was my second time visiting The Swan for work trips to Blyton Park track. Couldn’t recommend this B&B enough. Perfect for solo female travellers."

"Room a little tired, bathroom had a number of things needing repair, eg. Toilet roll holder, drainage for bath. Room was also a little hot and AC not very effective… outside temp was 23 degrees or so… so when heatwave hits it will be overly warm in room to get a good night’s sleep. Staff very friendly, and hotel atmosphere was good. Didn’t try food - dinner or breakfast, nor tried gym, so cannot comment on those. "When we arrived just after 2pm it was like stepping onto the Marie Celeste. We finally found a few customers who told us that only member of staff doing front of house was getting ice cream for their daughter. When she appeared we asked about food but was told that the kitchen closed at 2 and that we would need to go out if we were hungry. "The hotel was very clean. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Never stayed at a Days Inn before but would certainly stay with them again. Although the hotel was on the m1 we didn’t hear any traffic noise. There was no restaurant at the hotel but services was next door"

"Nice beds, friendly staff, and decent breakfast. However, the visit was spoiled by the malfunctioning air conditioning in the middle of summer. There was instead a plastic fan avaialble which perhaps proves that the staff were aware of of issue. They did offer to see if they could place us in another room but that would mean re-packing again in the middle of the night, so we just had to put up with it. Really uncomfortable night with a 3 year old!"
