"Beautiful hotel with no expense spared on recent fit out with great furnishings. Very comfortable hotel with fantastic staff who's attention to detail is fantastic. I mentioned at lunch that I was Coeliac and laster when we checked in to our room gluten free biscuits were placed on the tea tray. A small detail but I have never experianced this before in an hotel. The food in the restaurant is also first class. Unfortunately we were unable to return on Sunday for lunch as it was fully booked!"

"Can not fault any aspect of two nights spent in the Burley Inn, nothing was too much trouble from all the staff we came into. Lorraine and Steve were particularly helpful, friendly and very polite. One very small negative point there was not a USB charging point in the room but a this was overcome by the staff providing a plug with a USB attachment. "The room was perfect, lovely bathroom as well, however the hotel experienced a power outage overnight & therefore there was no hot water, lighting, no hot food for breakfast - and for whatever reason the toilets wouldn’t flush, which nobody seemed to realise. We had to pack the relative darkness looking for our belongings from the lights from our phones, and finding a way down the corridors in a huge sprawling hotel in the dark was quite tricky. I realise this is not exactly the hotels fault but...

"Hotel was in a good location and room was nice. A couple of the fittings need attention and the cleaners did not replace “consumables”. It is a self checkout so can’t rate the stafff. Overall a good stay"

"Great place to stay in heart of Christchurch, overlooking the cathedral. The renovations are beautiful, giving a relaxing, arty vibe in which to relax, with a high standard of decor. Staff are fantastic, very friendly whilst professional, and made all guests feel really welcome. Great welcome on arrival, friendly, pleasant and helpful. All seemed to enjoy working there! It could do with some sofas/easy chairs for guests to relax in apart from the bar, ‘cafe’, or restaurant areas, but this didn’t...

"Wonderful location and dining experience. The odd niggle including issue with elderly mothers room, requested walk in shower but on arrival given a room with bath. It was quickly sorted however. The room was fine for one night but the sash window was faulty and wouldn’t stay open. Overall highly recommended "

I really liked that the room had a combination of one king bed and two single beds, and the mattress was in excellent condition, which made our stay very comfortable. "We had the twin room that had all the facilities needed and was lovely, beds were comfortable as were the pillows, all felt fresh and clean, the owners were on hand as stated very pleasant and parking was available. Location was perfect for us as were attending the Vitality Stadium a mere 15 minute walk away, as was the beach in the in the opposite direction."
