Though the room was fairly small, our expectations were exceeded. The staff was exceptional. The food in the restaurant was excellent and it was the lowest price that we saw in Norway. Thoroughly enjoyable. Not 5 stars but more than we expected.

This is a mountain lodge - rustic conditions outside, but you'll find a very comfy bed on the inside. Stayed in the hotel and had two twin beds with comforters. I am hot-blooded so the Comforter was a bit much for me, but my wife was cold with one, so she asked for another. Shower was excellent and powerful! Dinner was excellent and the breakfast was a Nordic continental. Cured Fish, Cold Cuts/Cheese, H.B.Eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, home baked bread and jams, etc. Healthy and it will keep you full while hiking. A bit out of the way, but isn't that what we are looking for in the wilderness? If it wan't so far from the US, I would be staying here on all of my hiking adventures.

Although a little bit of a drive from anywhere, it was absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the apartment, it was really big and the porch was just amazing. Dinner and breakfast was really good too. They did charge an extra fee for cleaning unless you cleaned it yourself. We had 4 women so we just did it ourselves.

Breakfast could have more options like smoked salmon. Apartments do not have hair dries. It is a great retreat. A bit distant to flam but the driving along The zigzagged tunnels is fun.
