We can't recommend Hotel am Rathaus enough. Although the rooms are cozy, we had everything we needed. The staff more than anything went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, thank you so much! It was not easy travelling with a baby, and we appreciated the extra care. We also enjoyed the breakfast onsite. It had everything we like and would want to get the day started.
Very helpful staff and excellent location, walking distance to many attractions and public transportation. The clock bell tower is right there and rings every 15 minutes from 7am to 19 pm. Otherwise a quiet location off the Main Street.
The staff is outstanding!
Hot and humid during summer. Would avoid during hot summer months as the building just absorbs heat and has no AC. The breakfast buffet is uncovered so there were flies on the meats and melons.
Positives is the location is perfect and has a car park (very cramped and hard to park)
Very good pros balanced by very bad cons.
This hotel was very good. The man at the reception was very helpful, and made us feel welcome. The room vas overall good, and the breakfast arrangement was superb.
It was a terrible experience.
The only positive aspect was the location, near the main square.
The hotel was undergoing renovations, and there were workers with mortar and cement at the tiny reception room.
To reach our room, we walked down a long, dark corridor with flashing lights illuminating the doors to other rooms. It was like walking through a typical corridor from a Resident Evil video game.
The room was small and poorly furnished. The hot water was very weak. So weak that it was difficult to have a proper shower.
Luckily, we didn't have breakfast there.
Definitely not worth the 163€ that we paid for one night in a double room.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
There were Road works directly outside the hotel, starting noisily around 06:30 daily - no the fault of the hotel,. of course.
But the lift was not working - my room was on the 2nd floor, I am 81 years old and have to walk with a stick, so that was difficult.
Bett bequem. Checkin und out unkompliziert.
