We never actually got to stay here as the owner had rented it to someone else - even though we paid for it in full months ago!
Not happy!!
We had to wait 2-3 hours for Expedia to find us a new apartment (Expedia were great) - we were exhausted after our night time flight and with 2 children in tow (8 & 10) it made for a very stressful and disappointing start to our New Zealand holiday :(

We turned up to the address to find that our booking was separate to the hotel and that we were actually staying in an air bnb apartment?! Not only were we not advised this at the time of booking, we were also not advised of any access information! However, even though it wasn’t their responsibility, hotel reception kindly told us where to get the key. We then arrived upstairs to find we needed a code and again had to rely on hotel reception to tell us this. By this stage we had well and truly stretched the friendship and felt awkward and embarrassed. I then messaged the contact person who, hours later sent through the required information without even acknowledging their error in not advising this earlier and the trouble they had put us through.
The towels were old and threadbare and the supplied soaps and shampoos were so watered down they were liquid. Not worth bothering if you’re going to be cheap and nasty in doing so.

There was no parking or details about parking around the area, the receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful and refused to serve us until she had served ‘their customers’ first, the room was clean but slightly smelt, the dish rack was left on the bench like somebody had just done the dishes and personal toiletries still in the shower as though the owners had just left for the night. It took 4 days to get check in details from the owners as the phone number on the website did not work and email wouldn’t work either. Had to persistently call wotif who did a great job of chasing up but it was unnecessarily stressful and we only got our check in details the morning of our stay so it tarred the evening with stress. Would not stay here again..
