I had a very comfortable stay at this place

I had a great stay there and such a great host. Belinda very nice person she waited for me patiently as my flight got there pretty late. Very attentive and just good people.

The property is an actual farm. Belinda was so friendly and accommodating. We needed a place to stay for just a few hours between flights. She gave us a tour, and even cooked us lunch before heading back to the airport.

Amazing Host, Relaxing Stay.

I can't say enough good things about Kaswende Farm. The owner was the most remarkable host I've ever met. He arranged for a pick-up for me and treated me like family on my arrival. It was my first day in Tanzania and in fact in Africa, and he did a remarkable job at getting me up to speed with what to be aware of while travelling through the country. The farm was very relaxing and I'm not sure, but I'm suspicious that some of the food I ate while there was grown on the farm itself. The bananas I ate there had far more flavor than the ones I'm used to eating back in the States. The next day, I asked about how far a nearby training center was (MSTCDC) and not only did he volunteer to drive me, he even took me to get a SIM card. The dinner was $5 bucks and in my opinion, the value of the dinner was more than the stay itself, in other words, it was very filling and very delicious. His wife generously prepared the meal and it was enough for two people. I recommend you try the mango pilipili sauce if you stay. In summary, please stay here.

Paschal and his wife have been wonderful hosts and have picked up at the airport very late in the evening and cooked us a very nice dinner. Paschal provided us with very useful advices for our stay in Tanzania.

Beautiful quit farm

We felt very welcome at Kaswende Farm. Family Kaswende was very hospitable, the farm is a beautiful place a few km away from the main road, between mount Meru and mount Kilimanjaro.

Best way to start your Tanzania adventure!

Pascal and his wife Belinda are the best hostess you can get to start your trip in Tanzania. They are very open, warm and takes care of you right away from when you arrive. Pascal introduces you to a lot of his friends, his family, his school children (who are there in the morning) and gives you a lot of tips and recommendations and really helps you with everything. The Bed and Breakfast is by traditional Tanzania standard and is located a bit outside Arusha city and is really like a the sign outside the farm: "Kaswende Farm, feels like home". We highly recommend!

Einsam in der Natur

Die Farm liegt einige Kilometer von der geteerten Hauptstraße Arusha-Moshi entfernt und ist nicht ganz leicht zu finden. Das Zimmer war einfach eingerichtet, aber geräumig. Der Aufenthaltsbereich (Wohn/Esszimmer) geschmackvoll. Die Farm liegt im Grünen ausserhalb des Dorfes, so dass man entspannt den Abend auf der Veranda ausklingen lassen kann. Die Mahlzeiten waren lecker, gerade weil es sich nicht um ein professionelles Restaurant handelt.

Not able to reach it - fake address.

Were not able to reach the hotel. The address is incorrect - when it said 3 km from, it actually is more than 7 (they even have a sign at the entrance of the road saying Kaswende Farm 6 km, but on the phone the owner kept insisting it is...3 km :p). Mind you, this road is a mud road, and after a short rain it looks like a delta. With channels, lakes and everything. It is quite far from Arusha (something like 30 km), in a totally different town/village. And 30 km in Africa really mean something... Risking to be stuck in a huge mud hole, rain, pitch dark, with the owner on the phone saying, "a little further, a little further" since the beginning, we had to turn back to the city and find an alternative logging. So be aware.

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber

Diese Informationen zur Korrektur: es handelt sich hier nicht um ein Hotel, sondern um ein B&B mit sehr einfacher Ausstattung: kein warmes Wasser, kein Internetanschluss, Strom aus der Steckdose auf Nachfrage (die 3-Sterne-Bewertung ist absolt unzutreffend). Auch die Lage ist mit Arusha falsch, denn das B6B befindet sich ca.50km und dann noch 6 km von der Hauotstr.entfernt(45 Autominuten) von Arusha entfernt (Taxipreis f.einfache Fahrt 60 Dollar). Dafür ist die Hilfsbereitschaft, diese Misstände auszugleichen und die Freundlichkeit der Eigentümer um so lobenswerter, man fühlt sich in die Familie aufgenommen.
