" Room was perfect for my needs. The hotel grounds are just stunning Breakfast in a castle is pretty top tier! Good options for breakfast and everything was well cooked and delicious, had more a bed and breakfast feels rather than hotel with more intimate table service. I would have preferred better quality and more options with bread, rather than low quality white and brown sliced for toast that was served. I did feel this let down the breakfast. This is the only reason I dropped a star. "

"This hotel is a gem! We stayed in one of the recently renovated rooms and it was lovely! The bed is super comfy so we slept very well. The bathroom has been updated beautifully as well. Quiet, clean, and fantastic AC/heater. Also, the hotel is within easy walking distance of Kilkenny Castle, shops, cafes, etc. Private car park is onsite and convenient. The staff is outstanding!
