A Couple of Days in Mechelen

Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. A comfortable, clean room, pleasantly decorated. Tasty breakfast. Mechelen is a lovely town and the hotel is near the centre and the station.

Super clean and new place! And closest to the train station while still being walkable to the city center. And a breakfast that is superb. Most hotels would charge €30 for that breakfast that was given with the room. 5 stars all the way.

Almost brand new hotel, but a water leak meant access to the underground carpark was difficult. No tea/coffee in the room but there was a machine in reception available 24/7. Rooms were new, clean and comfortable. The area was quiet in a small town, but was ok.

Modern and clean

Basic, but modern and clean hotel. Good location with easy access to parking, both on the street and in the connecting garage. Service was very good from the staff, accommodating for gluten free options for my daughter at breakfast. I also liked the WhatsApp possibility for communication with the reception. Only minus for us staying for five days was that there was no fridge in the room, however I noticed that some other guests asked the staff to keep a few items for them in the fridge at the reception. Free coffee and tea in the reception all day, also a water dispenser with fresh, cold water, very appreciated. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant except for breakfast service, but we could use the breakfast area, which is nice, for eating take-away/delivery food in the evening.

Best value in Brussels

Modern, fresh and incredibly clean hotel. Cleanliness comes through in absolutely all areas. Friendly efficient staff. Large room with great heating / cooling system, coffee / tea facilities, complimentary water, desk to work at, large comfortable bed, spotless bathroom with well stocked shower gel, shampoo etc. Complementary wifi quick enough to connect to server and download large files (upload and download speed was around 7M/s). Good quality complimentary coffee, available 24/7 in lobby, is a nice touch. Well stocked bar has lots of tables /seats -ideal for a quick drink or discussions with colleagues. Breakfast overall quite basic. However, great fresh fruit and the pain au chocolat is to die for! 3 mins walk to the station and huge choice of restaurants available within a 10 min walk of the hotel. Modern, super clean hotel, with a Scandinavian vibe(?), in a perfect location for access to Brussels and surrounding areas…..great value too.
