"We stayed in the family ensuite pub room. It looked like there was a bar fight in the room. Walls damaged, floor not only uneven but about 6 places you could trip on boards sticking up if you were not careful. Front door looked like someone tried to kick it in and no attempt to repair it at all."

"This was the third time I have stayed here. Each time with a different member of my family as we return to Darwin.
It is a convenient stop in the trip north allowing a good nights sleep in a quite comfortable room at a reasonable price.
If I am passing through Coober Pedy again Opal Inn will be my first choice"

"The reception was very friendly. All the facilities including the kitchen were wonderful. Overall a very enjoyable experience sleeping underground. Spotlessly maintained."

"Kitchen equipment is poorly set up, no wine glasses, no bowls for salad or mixing, only 3 drinking glasses for a 5 bed accommodation, no extraction for cooking resulting in smoke alarm activation."

"There was no soap available for washing hands, however the coffee machine and microwave were definitely handy. Also, we struggled with the pillows - they were very hard and big. It would have been good to have a couple of additional pillows as an option for use. Also the water temperature in the shower was slow to respond and my partner had to have a cold shower after me, despite my shower being short."
