This is our second time at this B&B and as far as we are concerned it will always be our first choice. It is very convenient to the airport and parking for our rental car was included. The bed was comfortable and the private bath had everything that we needed. Breakfast was cooked to order and didn't lack of variety.

Mid-October Pleasant Stay

I was looking for an affordable place, with free parking and breakfast. Check in was easy - host will leave an envelope on the front door with your name, to get you in. I kind of worry for the owner's safety by doing this. Room key will be stuck in your room door. This a home, so floors and stairs make noise and walls are thin. If you're here for a homely place to just sleep, this is fine. If you're planning on taking conference or meeting calls, others will definitely hear you. Owner is kind to let people store their luggage in the living room all day and come back whenever to pick them up. I came during off-season, so did not experience tight parking issues. However, perhaps making the curvy lawn shorter might give cars more room. At night there are a lot of lamp posts, so it's well-lit. The room I stayed in confusingly had a door in the bathroom that led to the hallway - I locked it during my stay. My bathroom was the one with the big jacuzzi tub; for tall people the bathroom sink is really short and I was just under 5ft. Keep that in mind if planning to stay. There were many light switches for the bathroom and maybe labels might help differentiating which is for where. Talk with the owner to settle payment of room.

My wife and I recommend Deal’s Bed & Breakfast. We stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Deal three times for a total of seven nights in two different King rooms during our two-week trip to Alaska. Deal's was our Alaska home base for touring Anchorage, interspersed by trips to Fairbanks and Seward. The Deals were flexible and easy-going. Early departures and late arrivals were no problem. They let us leave a suitcase with them during our side trips. A transit bus stop is nearby. The neighborhood is quiet. The breakfast smorgasbord typically included sausage and eggs, potatoes, cold cereals, fruits, pastries, fruit juice, milk … and on and on. Breakfast hours were reasonable. The home was enlarged and customized to be a B&B. It seemed to have five guest rooms, each with a private bath. The decor harkens to the 1980s and features an extensive collection of pressed art glass throughout the house. The Deals have lived here for decades, and their home is a lovely reflection of their lives and their family. The human comforts — towels, beds and linens — are premium. The towels were downright luxurious. The back yard has a nice deck when the weather is suitable. We strongly recommend.

Charming Bed & Breakfast

Charming place! We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We stayed here for one night upon arrival in Anchorage, and also on our last day before leaving Alaska. The room we were given on that second stay was amazing! It's an older building but so much charm, beautifully decorated. A little overpriced, but it was August and it is Alaska.. so..

Harry’s one night stay

The place is very clean, quiet and beautifully landscaped. Katherine, the owner, was sweet and super friendly. The day I left to head out for the Alaskan cruise, the port is about an hour away but I couldn’t get a hold of the Uber driver. Katherine was so sweet she even asked her grand daughter Alena to take me to the port.👍 and Alena was also super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the scenic ride and the conversation with Alena during the whole trip. For those who would be looking for a place to stay in Anchorage AK, I would highly recommend it.

Kathryn, the owner, is very hospitable and clean. Her place is so unique, full of memorabilia and antiques. Beautiful and special. I wanted my room to be cool, and I had no problem getting it that way. Katheryn and her hisband obviously work very hard and are wonderful hosts. This is a great BnB with a great breakfast, and great service, and I'll be back.

Host was very sweet. Breakfast was great. The place was very comfortable and homey. The only drawbacks were that you had to get luggage up and down stairs and parts of the neighborhood are sketchy.

Fabulous place. Great location with easy access to the airport or downtown. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast provided offered many options of hot or cold foods. The room we had was roomy and comfortable and had our own coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Carolyn was really helpful in giving us suggestions even though this was our 4th trip to Alaska. Would definitely recommend and stay here again

I'll start with my mistake - I booked this B&B for a wrong date (1 day difference). Once arriving, the host had a spare room, but asked for a $240 per night (full price), although I didn't stay there on the original booked date. I expected to pay - to me 50% price would have been a fair price as I already paid $240, the host didn't have to pay any fee for brokerage and they had a spare room. I also expected some courtesy / empathy to my mistake. The room was smelly and the furnitures were not clean and VERY old I decided to move on and found a MUCH MUCH better place at $160/night which served me and my sons needs

Lovely b&b. Catherine was very helpful. Room is very large and clean. There’s a water feature outside the window, so if I leave it open, I have the soothing sounds of running water. It’s within ten minutes from the airport, but I am not hearing planes. Wonderful place!

Kathryn is a sweetheart; we had a 4am pickup for a 6am flight, and she provided us with breakfast foods to eat before we left—not as delicious as her usual cooked breakfasts (yum!!), but enough to be able to eat something before leaving, and then have some pre-packaged breakfast foods to take with us and eat in the airport. Kathryn’s husband was watching newsmax or oan when we arrived at 4pm, and it was still on when we left at 4am, and he was asleep on the couch! To each his own I guess. Regardless, this was a nice place to stay (we couldn’t hear the tv from our room, luckily), with some outdoor space available as well in the form of decks and yard space. It’s down the street from a bus stop that can take you downtown, or you can call an Uber (which we ended up doing) to explore Anchorage. This property is in a decent neighborhood that seems relatively quiet.

Nice quiet neighborhood walking distance to a local restaurant, host was very helpful and the breakfast had both hot and cold options. Bed was very comfortable would recommend to anyone.

The host greeted us at the door and was very helpful and pleasant. The room was super clean with many additional extra touches that made our stay extremely comfortable! I would highly recommend this establishment! A delicious hot breakfast was served before we departed. Wonderful host!

Well maintained B&B situated in a quiet residential area. Was a bit less expensive than area hotels as we only needed it for the bed and had an early morning flight out from the nearby airport. Parking is a bit challenging if you're the last guest to arrive for the evening. Private bath was clean and well stocked with supplies.

Staying at Deal's B&B is like staying with family. The owners have been doing this for over 30 years, so they know what they are doing. They are super accommodating. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. It is a short walk to dining, or to the park to watch the float planes. Short, inexpensive rides to/from the airport via Alaska Taxi (907) 222-2222.

Kathryn and Leonard run a beautiful, family owned bed and breakfast. We didn’t have a hire car but had no problem walking to bus stops and using public transport to get anywhere we wanted to go. It’s in an area that was quiet and safe and nothing was too much trouble for them, they are very happy to try and accommodate anything you may need or request. We stayed there twice and used it as a base for travelling and they allowed us to leave two suitcases with them in between times, which was amazing, and we stayed in two different rooms, both of which were uniquelin the own rights. Would highly recommend.

We had a great time. It was like going to grandma’s place . Very comfortable and homey. The hosts were very nice and informative. The breakfast was wonderful. She had all kinds of things to eat. If you went away hungry it’s your own fault. I would definitely recommend stay at Deal’s B&B.

The property was clean and comfortable, breakfast was excellent and the owners were very nice. Also, it was very close to the airport which was nice after a long day of travel. I will definitely be staying there again.

Easy, short taxi ride from the airport ($12 tip). Bed was very comfortable. Owners are very friendly. Breakfast was good.

Nice B&B. Katherine and Leonard are very attentive and keep the place clean. Breakfast was delicious with many options. Location is great. We enjoyed the deck attached to our room on our first visit and wish we could of had it on our second visit. New deck on the back is in progress for the remaining guests. It did get a little warm in our room as we didn’t want to keep our window open all night because of the water fountain just outside. Overall, good price for the value.

Host is very kind and friendly. She is able to accommodate any needs. Cleanliness of the property is excellent. Location is residential neighborhood and it is quiet.

Katherine and Leonard are friendly, personable, and are readily available to answer questions in a timely manner and offer great suggestions for activities to do in the area. The room was very clean and necessary amenities were provided. There was a wide variety of options for breakfast, and everything was delicious. I would highly recommend Deals bed-and-breakfast for your stay.

Awesome stay!

Amazing hosts, delicious breakfast, helpful about area, very clean and comfortable. Made us feel at home. Stayed four nights while in Alaska - perfect spot near airport and central location for stop between heading south thrn north of Anchorage!!

The Deals are amazing. An older couple who are super friendly and keep this property in excellent shape. If we come back to Alaska - would definitely stay here again. The breakfasts are exceptional.

This is the true definition of a wonderful Bed and Breakfast, when the hosts greet you in the morning for breakfast which is prepared family style. We arrived as late arrivals after taking the Alaska Railroad from the port of Seward and our envelope with information was posted on the front door. Our king bed was very comfortable and we were able to sleep in a little and still get breakfast before the 9am cutoff time. Katheryn was very helpful in planning our day and even made recommendations for transportation to get around downtown Anchorage. She even prepared a light breakfast for us as we had a 6:15am flight out the next morning. We would stay again as our hosts were such lovely people!
