Independent hotels in Amritsar

"First impressions on entry to hotel are very poor. Not what we were expecting. The hotel rooms are in urgent need of repairs. The smell of damp is apparent on entry to hallways and rooms. The furniture in the rooms is stained and not to standard. The gutter outlets in the bathrooms release sewage smells. Clearly they are not protected by one way outlet system. The staff are professional, but are let down by the condition of the overall property. Didn’t eat anything there so can’t comment on food. We booked the hotel due to the swimming pool. Didn’t use it due to its unattractive visual appearance and surroundings. This is a 3 star hotel at best, needs updating and we shall not be staying here again. "

"Really good clean hotel and staff were very friendly Good food, very good sauna and steam room was good and swimming pool was good. Gym is limited with equipment but ok. Treadmills were very good Location- was great 10 x mins taxi journey to golden temple. We used uber approx 200-250 ruppees each way There is a hotel shuttle bus to the temple but we decided on taxi There is a mall next to the hotel with lots of shops and and restaurants. Tip- use Uber taxis a lot more cost efficient and reliable "

"One of the best hotels to stay when you’re visiting Amritsar and specially Golden Temple. It’s just few seconds away from golden temple. And is always lit up. Very positive vibes. Staff of hotel is very accommodating and food from their restaurant is priced very reasonably low. And taste of their in-house food is good too. This would be my all time favourite hotel stay whenever I am in Amritsar. "
