"Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

Right next to where we stayed there was a church, and spending time there lets you truly feel the local culture. We stayed in the “Sofia” apartment, which had its own terrace very cozy and homely. "The best part of the hotel is the private pool. It’s a small oasis, surrounded by beautiful plants and trees. You can truly feel the calmness and positive energy of the place. The design is extraordinary — everything inside the house is beautifully thought out and well designed. We even had an outdoor bathroom, which was a wonderful touch. Fay welcomed us warmly — she is incredibly kind and always ready to help with anything. She was always available whenever we needed tips or assistance. The cleaning lady, Ioanna, was also perfect — very kind and attentive, making sure everything was always in perfect order."
