I’ve been staying here a lot recently, it’s the cheapest place in Altoona. The place is a tad dated I’d say but for the price it can’t be beat and the rooms are always clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. I can’t ask for much more considering the cost.

Stayed for an extended weekend, I was in one of the renovated rooms, was clean and the bed was comfortable, very quiet. Worth it for the money

The front desk staff was extremely accommodating around our unique schedule due to a wedding venue. The facility is in need of updating, but the bathroom was clean, water pressure excellent. Room did have a slight odor to it, carpet had some stains. Overall it suited our needs for just a quick overnight stay.

It wasn't a bad stay. Fairly easy to find, and close to other facilities to eat and shop. I wish them well with the renovations.

The staff was very nice. The front desk manager, Tommy, was very accomodating. We arrived late after the Penn State vs Oregon football game and he waited for our arrival which was after checking in time. Joanna, our housekeeper, was friendly. Our room was not renovated at this time. The tv was very good and we appreciated the refrigerator with freezer for our perishable food. One negative that we experienced was that our toilet did not efficiently flush. We only stayed one night, so this was not a major issued with us. We reported the deficiency so that it can be addressed appropriately. We slept comfortably. we felt that this property was a great value for the price. We will stay in this property in the future. The owner is in the process of renovating the property and will improve the antiquated look of the rooms. We thought that the room was very clean and was smoke free which were important features for us.

Staff was friendly. Hotel is under renovations and it appears that they are attempting to bring life back to it. Didn’t mind the location. Room was outdated, but with renovations and upgrades I think it’ll be a convenient, reasonable place to stay.

The Hotel itself was wonderful, however the staff was rude and ignorant. Won't be staying there again, and it is a shame because the rooms are very nice and clean.

Room was priced right. Some upgrades had been made in room. Bathroom was still outdated. TV had poor quality image. Bed was comfortable and AC worked great. Centrally located if you are going to Horseshoe curve or the Railroad yard/Museum in Altoona.

Needs to finish renovation

The room was clean but the hotel is under renovation so there was no Wi-Fi & no breakfast. Don't know if breakfast was ever offered but the Wi-Fi was in the online ad as well as the Altoona guide book.

Well the room was ok. But the carpet was dirty. The bathtub was very sliprey when I took a shower.They didnt have breakfast in the morning. There was a lot of place's to eat all around the area. We do like the area out there and it was a very good location.

Door card didn't work, twice. Ice machine broken. Sign said, "See front office for ice". Went to front office, no ice there either.Had to make another trip for ice. Tried to log on to two servers labeled HCL.(Horse Shoe Lodge?). No good. Called front office, they said log on to Econolodge. Could have told me that at check in. Little things. But simple things that should be standard. After a long day of travel and work, I just want to check in, log on, and enjoy an ice cold beverage without issue.
