"Great small pool outside with lounge chairs. The room was nicely updated with great a/c. However the bathroom needs an outlet for the hair dryer. Also a magnifying mirror in the bathroom would be a great touch! Other than that everything is great!"

"The staff was wonderful and everything was very clean. However, if you are looking for a soft sandy beach you won’t get that by this resort. Entry into the water was rocky and sand by the beach chairs was full of debris."

"Stayed for 5 nights with our two young kids. Accommodations were perfect for our family. Nice restaurant. We did the signature all inclusive and it met all our needs. I would definitely go back again. Staff was so nice and accommodating. I did request a crib. I was told it wasn’t guaranteed but it do show up around 8:30pm the night we checked in. Not ideal for a 2 year old but at least we had it. "

"Rooms are outdated. Bed was comfortable. Big rooms with full kitchen. Infinity pool was always fun. Best food I’ve ever had at an all inclusive."

"My niece stayed at Joia in March 2026 and it did not disappoint. We were greeted with wash clothes to wipe our hands and was then given a yummy drink that had ginger in it. The lobby was beautiful. Kayla was warm and inviting when she checked us in. She told us, we were upgraded to a swim up room due to my Expedia status. The bellman was so nice that escorted us to our room. He explained all the room's features. The room was really high-tech. You didn't have to put out a sign that said you needed housekeeping. It was a button that you would push that you either needed housekeeping or you didn't need to be disturbed. The experience was 5 stars from check in, room service, the three restaurants, infinity pool and the bars. Berny was the lobby bartender and he was the greatest. I asked for a dirty dirty martini and it was filthy. Thanks Berny your service was impeccable!! I have only good things to say about this resort. I would unequivocally without a shadow of a doubt recommend this resort. It was gorgeous. The staff was beautiful. It was clean the restaurants served good food and the alcohol was definitely a step above other places that I have stayed. I can definitely see myself returning to this resort. The island is just so gorgeous. During the time we were there it was beautiful 80° weather with no humidity. "

"The room was great… right across from the beach. Location is close to everything Clean room, great housekeeping. Friendly staff, quiet hotel. Just what we wanted. The beach is amazing. Maybe one small thing, the chairs and umbrellas, even if the hotel guests had priority, since it’s a public beach, priority is given to those that pay. Do make sure you secure your spots early, otherwise you may end up with no chairs or shade. "
