The Rabati Fortress is apparently very, very old.

This was the location of a battle between the Ottoman empire and the Russian empire in 1828 - farmers continue digging cannonballs fired off during the battle out of the local hills.

Newly renovated in 2012 - it features sweeping views of the city of Akhaltsikhe.
