An amazing stay

Amazing stay. We had a wonderful time as a family with a 3 year old. The beach area was great, lots of beds, shade, calm water and areas for older kids to fish. Great pool area with shaded shallow kids pool. Entertainment shows for kids and music performances as well. Large rooms, lovely bathroom amenities and cot/sofa bed options for kids. Breakfast & dinner buffet was very good quality and variety. Staff everywhere were great and friendly. On site restaurants were of really high quality and some lovely Greek wines on the menu. Is set on a hill so lots of hills but golf buggies can take you around. Area around hotel is quiet and lovely villages of Plaka & Elounda a few mins drive

We visited Domes of Elounda with our 8 month old baby and from the moment we arrived it was amazing. It's so peaceful and serene, the pools are heated and the perfect temperature for a baby and the sea was crystal clear and so inviting. Every member of staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay, and they were all amazing with my daughter. It was our first time travelling with a baby and we felt so welcome. There was a cot and high chair in our room when we arrived and high chairs and cutlery/plates/bowls for kids at every restaurant. 10/10 would recommend!

This place has the best beach in the area by far and great service all around. There is a kiosk on their private beach where you can get a ride to Spinalonga Island. It's super convenient, fast and if you have at least 2 people it's the same price as the big, crowded boats out of Plaka or Elounda and it's private so you can come and go as you wish. If you have 4 people (we shared rhe ride with another couple) it's the same price as the big boats. Food and service at Makris and Blend is really super great but otherwise the main buffet restaurant is good but not incredible. Our king room with a private pool was very spacious and comfortable. Check out and check in was easy and the staff was wonderful. We also enjoyed the spa very much! Lots of kids/families so it can be active/loud but they try to set aside spaces for adults as best they can. I still think it's better than an adults only resort mainly for the great beach. It is sooo nice compared to any other one we visitied. There is really no reason to leave. Amazing views of the island from here, too.

Lovely place that has potential to be better

The hotel has a beautiful structure. The room was big and clean, but needs some refreshing. The shower was very small and water was going everywhere. We had a private pool but it was not heated and felt too cold as there was no sun in the afternoon. The gym was clean but was not well equipped especially for people targeting weight lifting. The big pool was heated and nice. The private beach was lovely and idilyc with separate areas for kids and adults only. Cooktails and food were extremely expensive and we could see people were avoiding to consume because of that. Night entertainment is poor and it's a pity that the beach bar closes at 6pm. It would be great if the beach bar was open during the night and if prices were more reasonable. The food in the buffet is average. I wouldn't take the half board option again. Even if there were many families with small kids it didn't feel crowded. The hotel has potential to be much better than it is with some improvements.

Stunning location with wonderful staff and service. The beach is tranquil with fantastic views of Spinalonga and the perfect place to relax. All of the staff go out of their way to help you have the perfect holiday. Only feedback would be to bring your own or buy tennis balls if you play as the balls from the hotel either get taken / lost ... with the balls left being too bad to play. Also... we did a photo shoot with the inhouse photographer... which was amazing! Her shop is downstairs in the basement and very easy to miss if you dont happen to go to the spa! Would be lovely to have this advertised! Otherwise... the PERFECT holiday. Massive thank you to all of the staff.

Facilities very good, location requires some getting used to as sited on a hillside and buggies are needed to move aroúnd the hotel grounds. Service is the Achilles heel - understaffed in certain areas (eg Main Bar, Beach area) means long delays and cause of frustration.

This resort is a very special place. It has as its backdrop the singularly gorgeous Elounda Bay but in addition, it has a remarkable group of staff members who make every moment at this property feel custom. We stayed at a “Luxury Residence” with a private pool, which was nothing short of amazing. It allows privacy to regroup/recharge/and enjoy precious family time. The food at each of the three dining experiences we enjoyed was absolutely stellar! We rarely choose to eat on property at resorts, often finding the food subpar and choosing instead to explore the area. After trying one on property restaurant, (Blend), it was so delicious that we then tried (Makris), which was just as impressive resulting in a third on property experience at an authentic Cretan Bbq at Core. WONDERFUL! I highly recommend a stay at this property. It is just over an hour from Heraklion airport, but it is well worth the travel!

We arrived at night but received a room upgrade from garden view to sea view which was very nice, however the room did smell like it was previously smoked in. It seems as though we were on the older side of the resort that was renovated. There is a newer side of the resort as well (on the other side). The property is huge with lots of amenities (shops, restaurants, food trucks, tennis, games room, amphitheatre, bars). Nearby there are 3 places I would recommend. 15 min walk to the east side of the island to a small town, 45 min walk to the west side - town of Elounda or a taxi ride to Agios Nicolaus where there are many shops and restaurants. All very beautiful and very fun to discover (especially at night). One thing I had been curious about was what was included in food that I didn’t see online if you have food included in your stay - it’s either a nightly buffet for each person included or if you decide to skip the buffet and go to one of their restaurants it is a 20 euro credit per person for the restaurant - very worth it even if you go one time to their buffet Overall food was very good. One downside was the about of kids at the resort - we didn’t realize but apparently they advertise this hotel to families so every time we were at the buffet, there would be kids screaming on either side of us. As much as they have adult zones, either they are full or kids end up being there anyways. This was a bit of a let down for the beautiful atmosphere that they had.
