That room had one queen bed and a sofa, and he promised to bring a rollaway bed—which he never did. We made it work for one night only because we didn’t want more stress, and let our 3-year-old sleep with us. Later, my kids played in the yard with the owner’s grandkids. They accidentally lost a soccer ball during a game, and the owner got angry, accusing us of damaging his property.
