"Beautiful hotel with jungle plants all around and next to the river. We watched the sunrise every morning and saw many birds including a kingfisher. The amazing monitor lizards were swimming in the river one day. The staff were so kind and the bicycles were free so we explored locally. A perfect place to stay rather than the noise of the city."

"Delightful staff. Helpful in the extreme though their English is minimal. A lovely peaceful spot right on the wide sandy beach. Not a lot around and no good restaurants but the chef at Verano Beach is pretty good so, though we had a car, we ate in the hotel every night under the stars. Large, colonial rooms all in white have all the usual amenities but they are a tiny bit tired. Didn't put us off though and we hope to return."

"Nice property, but lack of maintenance and care has caused it to be spoiled some. Mildew growing in bathroom. The bed is very hard, but otherwise the room was affordable with a nice surrounding property."
