Hotel Allegra was okay. It got the job done for being semi-close to the airport, on our last night in Switzerland. There really was no wow factor, just an okay hotel overall.
The cons: The hallway (near room 300’s) smelt sour and damp. Like it wasn’t getting enough air circulation. This hotel was probably the only one during my entire stay where I felt hot the ENTIRE night and we went in the middle of January, so I couldn’t imagine visiting in another season. We opened windows and that didn’t work. Then around 5am, you had construction crews working on the road, so all you heard the entire morning was machinery and people talking.
The breakfast was subpar at best, but it was free so I can’t really complain too much. The front desk staff were friendly.
Overall, if you’re only looking for a place close to the airport with nothing to do then I’d stay here. If not, I’d probably stay in Flaughen or a bigger city. Nothing was really close to the hotel, if you’re walking on foot and all dinning closes at 2pm until 5 pm everyday, so finding lunch when we arrived at 3 was VERY difficult.
