"Our executive double room was extremely clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly and professional. Our evening meal was delicious and good value. We particularly liked the gardens and ate on the terrace.
The bathroom was a little "tired" but was spotlessly clean. Amazing value at £64 for the room per night. Thank you for a very pleasant stay"
"Very conveniently located. Only downside is there are only 18 parking spaces, so please book in advance. We did not, so it was a trouble and had to book through just park, which was a 15min walk from the hotel"
"Clean and conveniently located within a 5-10 minute walking distance to the Shambles and York Minster. They offered fresh lemon and mint water upon entrance at the bar and the staff were all wonderful! And, it was nice to have the a/c even though the outside temperature wasn’t even much hotter than 75, even in mid-July. The beds, bedding and towels were as usual, wonderful."

Very convenient bus service into York close by. Quiet location.
However bathroom VERY small (room 122). Booked a walk-in shower but actually had a six inch step up to it and no grab rails. Guests obviously using shower controls and screen to aid access as shower screen fixture becoming loose from ceiling. Size of bathroom meant anyone requiring a ‘helping hand’ but not needing fully accessible facilities would struggle and in the event of a fall, assistance extremely difficult. Reported to reception."
