"I stayed overnight at The Grand York recently and had a lovely experience. I had a late check-in and Nigel (the porter) arranged a table at a lovely restaurant nearby for me. "The hotel was lovely, staff were very friendly and helpful, and the pool etc was excellent. However the bed was extremely hard which was very uncomfortable. It wouldn't put me off staying but i would make sure I took a topper myself. "

We loved the Halls historic features which were highlighted in Christmas decor making it very special.
