The hotel is quite dated in some communal areas, but generally clean. Stayed in a standard twin room (Room 216). The bathroom was far too small requiring you step to the side of the toilet to easily close the door. The shower has a high step up into it, which clearly is an ongoing issue as there ...

Stableside at York Racecourse
Great friendly hotel. Handy for local pubs (recommend The Cross Keys), the racecourse for parkrun (10 mins walk away from the start) and dog-walking. Frequent bus service at the top of the drive. Forget the budget chains - this is the one for us!
