"I am wary of doing chain hotels but chose to stay here due to the location and the fact it boasted a "fitness facility". The location was convenient as it was sited at a Welcome Break services. I was able to park close to the entrance. I was warmly greeted but on checking in found out that there was a separate £5 charge for overnight parking which was not disclosed at the outset of booking the accommodation. There were multiple dining options either within the services complex or at the hotel...

"Stayed for one night, which happened to be the hottest night of the year. Not the hotels fault, but the window in the room would not open. Hotel did supply fans but made little difference. Major issue was after a night in a 30 degree room there was no water for a shower, or the toilet. Spoke to manager who was stressed but apologetic who said the mains were off due to an issue which he hoped would be fixed at some point…. We left quickly to find somewhere to shower and was asked at reception if...

"unfortunately they had a computer breakdown and we could not check in at midnight. the manager worked very hard to help us and other guests but we were tired and chose this hotel after travelling from salzburg."

"Was good for 1 night stay. Breakfast was nice. Staff super helpful and friendly. Only negative was the slamming doors at night. The bedroom doors require a good slam to shut them so this made it a little disruptive at night. Other than that it was a great little place to stay."

"The restaurant was great. Was a good place to stay for a function. You pay for what you get. Was not expecting a lot for £65.00 pounds. Very old facility so also can not expect a lot. Unfortunately our TV did not work well as we tried to unwind for the day, and the toilet would not flush. I would still give it another go to stay."

"The room was a bit like a cabin on the Brittany Ferries but larger. The room was clean but very basic- the bed was comfortable. There was no information given when checking in, so hadn't a clue we could have had breakfast."

"Great place - rooms are great, comfy bed, welcome green and blacks chocolate. Staff are lovely at check in and the breakfast staff are fantastic, work hard and fast - really impressed. Only thing I don't like is the 'write on paper' check in part - especially every time you come back, would be nice to be digitally stored but in the greater scheme of things its nothing."

"It was very well presented in all aspects. The kitchen staff were good and helpful. The reception staff were well dressed and presented themselves very professionally rooms were very neat and clean. Would come again when visiting my mother everything is nearby."
