The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff was was very pleasant. We did not feel that the dinner was appropriate to the property and it was the only option. The food could have been much better.
Lovely staff, delicious food. An incredibly relaxing setting. Highly recommend if you want to get away from it all to a unique, well run establishment.
We had a wonderful 2 days. The staff was amazing, our every need was taken care of. We did the 4 hour hike and we were smart enough to get a guide from the hotel (highly recommended if you are directionally challenged like me 😀).
Food was amazing.
It is in the middle of nowhere so be prepared for no cell service.
We will definitely go back!

Eindrucksvolle Lage
Man fühlt sich in anderer Welt, die Stille ist wohltuend. Wer will nicht dem Schwarzbären begegnen?
We were completely relaxed, had great hikes around the property. Celebrated my birthday with several nice greetings. Attention from the maitre d' was exceptional - took time to explain what was severed and how it differed from other hotels. You could do as little as you wanted or there were many activities in which you could participate.
The Trout Point Lodge is an amazing experience, away from it all. Small and intimate, the lodge is beautifully situated along 2 rivers, allowing for easy kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. It's both a luxurious and rustic experience - the wood-fired hot tub is a must do!
Fantastic location for nighttime stargazing. Swim in the river, or use the outdoor sauna and hottub. Excellent food, and overall excellent and attentive service. Caters to the mature crowd, so it's serene.
Once you are there you are there the staff was smaller then expected women who cleaned room was also our breakfast waiter . If you don't like the woods this is not your place. Policy's seamed a bit odd they don't want you to drink alcohol or bring food from the outside . Which I can understand but only serve drinks for one hour before dinner and you have to eat at the times they set not even a snack . I was on vacation having some drinks I thought during the day were part of it.
Excelent
Best place we stayed at in al Nova Scotia
First Class Lodge in the most natural peaceful setting imaginable.
Level of service and professionalism and quality of food is definitely 4-5 star..
Better than most highly rated hotels and restaurants.
Smart, lovely friendly staff.
The hotel is very nice and the staff is great. The rooms are big and clean. The dinner was great but a bit pricy for what it was. If you plan to go fishing then I recommend to bring your own gear since the gear that you can borrow from the hotel is a sad joke.
Approx. 2 miles of gravel road to get to this place. Well worth it when you get to the Lodge. We were greeted at our car, our luggage was taken to our room. Supper and breakfast was offered for a large fee but, it was made by your own chef. When we went there were only 6 people staying and we only seen two of them. Hot tub that was wood fired, sauna, running river along side the lodge. Very serine. Walking trails, kayaking or canoeing available at no extra cost. Beds were not comfortable but we would stay here again! We used the Nova Star ferry to travel back to Portland, ME. Beds in cabins were comfortable. We are glad we took the ferry. Easy to load and unload our car on the ferry. Well worth the money.
