Ox Hotel Carlisle
Very clean budget hotel. Comfortable bed, good linen and towels. Only problem is there are no bedside lights or lamps in the room and main light is very bright, so had to keep the bathroom light on for subdued lighting.

The Halston
Excellent property. Exceptionally clean, great customer service and The Penny Blue Restaurant, Bar and Breakfast were all 5 star. Our rooms were great too, cannot fault The Halston.

The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere. The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. ...

The Old Wool House Apartments
This apartment is a lovely place to stay when visiting Carlisle and the communication from Joanne was excellent. Also it is on a quiet street with parking normally available almost right outside. Top notch all round
