While you are in Xalapa, be sure to visit the various parks including Los Tecajetes and visit Museo de Antropología de Xalapa. I know that the coasts tend to draw people, but going up into the mountains of Veracruz will be an unforgettable experience. Excellent food and wonderful people.

For the price this is a very good option to be in the center of Xalapa. Our room was small but we only needed to crash for a night. The coffee in the room was excellent the shower was very good and walking out there were many excellent options for breakfast.

Great option near centro

Hotel has a great location. The street has a lot of traffic, so if you are sensitive to street sounds this would be something to consider. Bed was comfortable. The front desk was very helpful getting me a taxi when I was leaving.

El Meson is a quaint basic little hotel. It’s centrally situated at the south of el Centro and convenient to the city. It’s a bit rustic but very nice. In the lower level is a restaurant offering a discount to residents. It offers clean rooms, shower, daily maid service and friendly staff. If you want basic amenities, I give el meson my top rating.

Good hotel close to plaza. Good room large and clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast in eccelant restaurant down stairs good, but check how much you get off staying there. O and their laundry service was both cheap and good.
