"The homestead in a lovely period property with matching decor. The room was spotless, spacious with lovely en-suite facilities. Maria and Kevin, the hosts, are lovely people, very friendly and make you feel at ease as soon as you arrive. We stayed overnight as we were attending a wedding at Wennington Hall. Kevin very kindly offered to drop us off and pick us up when we were ready to return. This saved us a lot of hassle trying to arrange taxis to come out for just a short journey. Thanks Kevin...

"What a delightful cosy rooms with showerrooms. Comfortable beds, with well insulation blinds/ curtain for the strong summer sun. Room was copl at night, and good bathroom facilities. We were going to be late, and staff rang to check on our progress. Staff waited until we arrived and showed us our rooms. Breakfast was included but the choice and want we were entitled too was a not clear. Cooked breakfast meals very delicious and tasty."

"A lovely pub with a stunning beer garden and direct access to the canal path for walks to Carnforth Morecambe and Lancaster. Only issue was the heat in the room which I appreciate it was unusually hot but room 3 also has a large noisy extractor fan outside the window so it was either heat or noise. The fan does get turned off at night. Would still stay again and the food was excellent."

"Breakfast was very good. Room a bit small and no drawers to put any thing. Staffs are good. The only problem is they didn't make up my room even though I put up the sign."

"We stayed at The Fleece for a couple of nights. Our welcome as a pleasant professional one, despite the bar and restaurant being busy. Our room and the linen was very clean, and although quite warm, there was a fan provided that did the trick. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was good, and the breakfast, which was included, was delicious. Lovely beer garden/ courtyard to enjoy a relaxing beer. "Fabulous B&B…traditional pub with great rooms with modern showers. Dinner used local ingredients and was very tasty and generous portion size. Breakfast had nice thick bacon, local sausage and all the usual black pudding, mushroom, tomato, beans and hash browns. Would thoroughly recommend"

"The hall is magical. The stay was great and the room and food were excellent with one small exception. This is that the fabric covers on the chairs in the dining room were grubby. Also the decor in the dining room could do with a refresh. I mean paint, flowers lights etc."

"We have stayed here several times over the years as our daughter attended Lancaster University. This has always been our “Go To” place and has never disappointed. It is clean and tidy and has everything you need for a short visit. Our daughter has now graduated, but I am sure we will be back in the future and look forward to coming back to The Royal."
