Jacob Lake Inn

"Pretty much what you expect at this kind of property. Nothing amazing or high quality but totally adequate. Staff was nice. They aren’t allowed microwaves or refrigerators in the rooms so you get coffee from the office which also has a convenience store and restaurant. We had dinner at the restaurant, it was fine. We got there at 6:30 for breakfast and it was already full and they were understaffed so we left."

"Fabulous setting and location. Views to mountains and across the lake. Main pool area is great to relax, have a drink, watch the sunset. We had a suite room which was spacious but dated decor and bathroom. Didn’t matter though as area was great. They are by looks of it refurbing rooms at the moment. Communal areas - lobby, pool, bar, restaurant are all more contemporary. Would definitely stay here again. Note there is an additional $30 nps charge as the hotel is in a national park - Glen Canyon."

"A two night stay- Location is good. Parking felt safe and convenient. The included breakfast was good quality with a fair amount of choice, both hot and chilled choices. Breakfast staff were excellent and attentive to detail. Our room was very clean, spacious, tasteful, and had a feel of recent update. The bed was comfortable, though I'm glad I brought my own pillow as the ones provided were soft, but a bit thick for my taste and neck. The sliding door on the bathroom was the best quality sliding door I've encountered at a hotel.... it created a sealed closure, was sound dampening, and good at light blocking. Usually I frown on sliding bathroom doors, but this gets five stars and a thumbs up. Three drawbacks to our stay: Beginning at 5:30am on our first morning we could hear a lot of walking around above us, hallway doors slamming, and people talking in the hallways (customers up and departing early it seemed.) Sound insulation could be better. Not a problem the second morning. Disappointment #2: The shower head provides a stingy amount of water. I appreciate water conservation, but this was too much. Not a deal breaker, but NOT pleasant. #3: USB outlet next to the bed (side closest to the door, room 119, failed to provide any charge. Yes, a few wrinkles, but overall the hotel was a good choice, one of the better in town I'm guessing. Given remoteness of Kanab, the price could arguably be reasonable. Book early for better price."
