"I’ve just returned from a night at the hotel. I stayed in a junior suite. I had to speak to the cleaner to give us some toiletries, as he’d forgotten to put them in. The room wasn’t the cleanest either. Very dirty windows amongst other things. The room was spacious. However, the bathroom was very small and dated. I had a horrid sleep. Despite the bed being a cracking size. The mattress was awful. I woke up in the morning with a really sore back. The mattress was ultra soft and overused. I pretty much slept in a ‘V’ position all night Despite the lovely view, you couldn’t see it from the sofa in the room. Even though the sofa was in front of the window. The poor design meant you looked at a thick wooden balcony post. The spa was visually nice. The hot tub was more like a luke warm tub. The pool was freezing. Breakfast was soso. I would describe the English break ingredients as cheap and the continental breakfast as limited and cheap. I wouldn’t stay again or recommend this hotel."

"Excellent hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the reception, bar and restaurant were pleasant places to sit eat, drink and relax. Our room was number 20 on the first floor. It was advertised as room with a view of the lake. The view was a bit obstructed, because unfortunately part of our view was the excavation for the new extension, presently being added to the rear of the hotel. Otherwise we had a pleasant 2 night stay and will probably book again, after the extension is complete."

"The room was lovely, very clean with a view over the town towards the lake and mountains. The staff were very helpful, I needed two singles not a double and they immediately sorted this. Breakfast was very good ....and generous. The hotel is in an excellent position for the town and lake and has the bonus of parking."

"Stayed two nights. Very nice hotel with welcoming staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Could have been an even better experience...although a quiet and spacious room, avoid room 19 unless you are aware this room has very little natural light as that is blocked out by structures at the back of the hotel. Little light and no view is not ideal. Advised by staff to book directly with hotel next time if wanting to avoid that sort of misunderstanding!"

"Great breakfast, clean room, dog friendly and ideal location. If you like to walk only approx 25min into bowness or short drive if you prefer. Couldn't book an evening meal at check in as already booked up so may need to pre book before arrival. Overall very happy with our stay and would go back again."

"Fantastic stay just outside of bowness which was perfect to avoid the crowds, clean spacious twin room, delicious breakfast, friendly staff."
