"Very helpful and friendly staff. It feels like coming home when we stay w them."

"Ugh. We stayed two days for a wedding at La Valencia and booked a suite. We are SD natives and my husband grew up in LA Jolla. It was located a bit away from the front desk and up a steep portion of a hill with stairs. Tough to navigate in a gown and heels and a workout with all our bags to get to valet when leaving. Be sure to plan some time for the valet to get your car. The room is VERY dated and the layout needs to be better thought out. Wear socks on the carpet! Our neighbors room service...

"Great stay"

"We loved this place! The room was clean and spacious, parking was included, and the location was close to shops, restaurants, and beach overlooks. The price was better than most hotels in the area, and (bonus!) we got one of the rooms with a good view from the balcony (302, I think)."

"Great staff, beach and pool area. Always love staying here. Thank you!"

"I’ll definitely stay here again if I make my way back to La Jolla!"

"There were several negative experiences that made the stay overall not great. For starters our room did not have hooks for towels and the inside of one of our robes was covered in some dark brown stains. Additionally the staff was very curt and not courteous in general. "Staff balcony 5 star All the way"

"Good rooms to stay for the night tho a few stains in the bed itself but I don’t really mind at all since they gave us clean sheets and towels to use so it was good I don’t mind anything else as long as it wasn’t excessive so it was okk and the admenities where good not to many ppl using showers too so I woudk stay here again near the beach too and nice community space as well love it"

"Truly exceptional hotel! A one of a kind hotel steeped in history with impeccable service. I would highly recommend the Lodge to anyone looking for a memorable vacation."

"The property was very updated and clean. Breakfast was good and the beach view was great."

"Hugo was very helpful and guided us every step of the way and made my experience very much wonderful"

"This hotel is in a great location with convenient parking and easy access to shopping and the freeways."

"This was a great find. Would definitely go back for a staycation."

"Excellent location if you want to be in the beautiful old town area of San Diego. It is a historical building and a museum with a nice historical charm. On certain days of the week, you will have to call a number so that you can be checked in. It was my first time to stay here and when I arrived at past 3pm on a Tuesday, I couldn't find the entrance, since all the doors were closed. I didn't realize you have to call them first. The room is nice and big, with a big bathroom. It's a beautiful...
