"I've stayed here several times and it's usually a very busy hotel with many guests. They handle it very well. From the check in to the omelette station, things move well despite the crowds. About 15 min from Hampton university, its a great place to stay when I need to be in the area."

"Since this property was originally owned by an ancestor of George Washington, you receive a little history of the family and property which I thoroughly enjoyed. Beautiful, beautiful property. Wonderful service for breakfast. Lovely accommodations."

"Even though we only stayed one night, we felt it was memorable. The room was spacious and clean. The room was quiet and we never heard another guest. Breakfast was very good and a lot of food. The steep stairs down to the beach were worth it because the shells were plentiful. The porch out back was a great place to have morning coffee and watch the boats. The only requests I would make would be to put a magnifying mirror in the bathroom to make applying makeup easier and mount a full length mirror. We will definitely come back and stay our next trip to the Eastern Shore."

"A tiny cottage… yes it was, but very nicely maintained, clean, comfortable and oh so Peaceful! So beautifully quiet at night. A bon fire each night when I was there. Welcoming for my dogs. The owner was so friendly… very nice …personable to speak with. I did enjoy my stay. Very relaxing. Minutes to downtown Cape Charles."
