"This is a great place to stay and the setting I’d idyllic with the chalets among the trees. The restaurant meals we had were superb albeit a bit pricey. But it was worth it. Our hostess was charming and very friendly. We have stayed there now twice and next time we are passing thru Tūrangi we will certainly stay again."

"Great place to stay, Chenara is always there to help if required"

"Well situated to all things outdoors and convenient to many amenities. Staff and friendly and welcoming"

"The location of the motel is great for visiting Tongariro National Park. However, they can do a better job in cleaning the room. We found out the dining table was dusty and the night stand between 2 twin beds upstairs was dirty. I used a wipe to clean it and it turned to grey in color. There's spider webs between the wall and the light fixture upstairs."

"Great place to stay. Will be back!"

"Helpful staff and a quiet location"

"Definitely money worth for the price of the accommodation. "

"Clean and very Friendly "

"A cute little cabin, which was clean and well equipped for a short stay. It was noisy being next to the road, but we knew this and ear plugs were provided. Thebed having spring legs was great, they took out any shuddering from the passing trucks. The sauna was a nice little bonus too."
