A Perfect Place!

This hotel is our new favorite hotel in Weymouth ...and beyond! The place is smart and spotless and the owner, Steve, was the most convivial of hosts. The room was so very comfortable and pristine and we couldn't have been happier with any of it. Highly recommended!

This hotel is a credit to the owner Steve. The beautiful quirky decor to the service received is all due to his attention to detail. We have just enjoyed 3 nights here and have been well looked after. Highly recommend a stay.

Fantastic boutique hotel

Had a fantastic stay The Narrator Steve was fantastic and could not do enough for you , the attention to detail was spot on . Beautiful decor throughout. Lovely fresh continental breakfast and Steve makes the most fantastic coffee. Am returning with my daughter who’s a book lover and will love Chapter 1 xx

The Hotel is immaculate and Stephen is warm and welcoming host. The Room had everything required and the Hotel Is in easy walking distance of all the restaurants & shops. Car Parking is not provided but that seems to be the general state of affairs. Weymouth. A very pleasant stay

What an absolutely wonderful Hotel! The owner, Steve, and the team are the most thoughtful and friendly people you could hope to meet. The hotel is beautifully renovated with a set of historically named rooms. The Sherlock Holmes suite overlooks the main Esplanade with large sunny windows above the old building entrance. Chapter 1 was a base for a walking weekend around the Isle of Portland and Durdle Door and very convenient to both. Parking was easy, and just around the corner. The room was large and very well appointed with an excellent bed and a good hot shower after long day walks. Breakfast in the main reception room was sunny and elegant. The croissants, coffee, fruits, yoghurts and more were a great kick start to the day. The welcome from Steve was like meeting an old friend .. warm and personal with real honesty in making your stay as good as it could be. There is no more central place in Weymouth. Chapter 1 is close to all the local dining venues and the old docks full of a wide range of eating and entertainment options. I couldn't recommend Chapter 1 more highly.

This was our first visit to Weymouth and the style and location prompted our choice. From the moment we arrived Steve and the team made the stay special. They were so welcoming and helpful we regretted we were not staying longer and will return. We also loved the literary theme used throughout the hotel that was clever and fun.
