Not a good choice
The host was okay but he came running down to the room as he gave us the wrong room. The walls were cut 2 ft off the top and off the bottom separating the wash basin from the beds. The bedding was stained and the spread didn't look clean at all. The temp control did not work right it was either freezing or nothing. The television remote didn't work right either and when it finally came on you could only receive 3 channels. The good thing was we didn't have neighbors.

This is the worst hotel experience that I have. First the check in. The picture below is the front lobby, that's correct you stand outside to check in as the desk blocks the door to the lobby. At least it's covered. Could be cold in the winter though. I had to sit (sdtand actually) and wait while the “made a key” for the room they were giving me. This was a metal key not just a magnetic card. That made me think it must be a master that probably fit other rooms. Can't say for sure because I didn't try. Got my key to room 239 and went in. Tried to turn on one of the lights next to the bed, but it was missing the switch. As a landlord of more than 30 years the switch costs about $5 and would take about 10 minutes to change if one is interested in changing it. There was another light on the other side of the bed so I thought I would live with it. I then went to start the refrigerator. When I opened the door I was almost overcome by the odor. There was lunchable in there that must have been in there at least a week as there was mold all over it. At this point I went to get the manager to show him the room. After ensuring that he saw the issues with the room he said he would give me a different one. I told him that managers had to get out and see these rooms every once in awhile. My next room was was 246. Seemed to be alright went to make a call and no cell service (not the hotels's fault) so I grabbed the phone in the room, but it didn't work. Disgusting and falsely advertised.
This was the worst place I have ever seen. It is definitely not the way it is advertised on Hotels.com. It looks like a drug dealer and prostitution pay by the hour motel. Trash and shopping carts all over the place. Blinds in the windows falling apart. This place is disgusting and wouldn’t be fit for a prisoners last stay. A homeless person would be better off sleeping on the street.

Gray Plaza Motel was a nice place to stay, prices were reasonable, rooms were clean and comfortable. i would stay yjere again.

It is a little sketchy looking outside, parking lot also, but the room itself was fine and clean, and no problems, so overall it was fine, especially for the price.

Hidden no frills gem
For $65 this was an amazing place to stay. The room was affordable, nice, clean, quiet and comfortable. Just what I was looking for.

The place took my money & was boarded up practically.. no one would answer, the lobby is covered in plastic over the doors so you couldn’t even get in… Remove this one from your site cause aren’t even open for business

Pleasantly surprised.
Easy to find from the highway. Old style motel style. Room was clean. Fridge and microwave. Nice TV - a bit limited channels. Beds were firm but comfortable...nice heavy duvet for warmth and 'security'. Guests were situated at least 2 units apart, so no noise from neighboring units. I was in the back section, so no road noise. Very enjoyable for a quick overnight stay. Comparable to a good Motel 6. Single senior female traveling sols. I felt safe and secure. Will definitely stay here again when travels bring me back this way.

This is an adequate no frills motel. It’s main attraction is the low cost, which is significant. Not for someone wanting a high end motel with breakfast. Wifi and TV reception was good.

The staff was pleasant and helpful as I checked in. But I was disappointed by the lack of cleanliness of the room. The worst part was the strong smell of Indian food across the entire property- most strongly in the office (which is fine, assuming the staff has to eat), but the fact that my room in the adjacent building also smelled the same way (albeit not as strongly) really put me off.

Not Bad After A Long Day
This motel was like going back in time to 1970. The room was spacious and clean. Shower worked great with nice pressure. The TV was too small for my taste. I believe a 26 inch but it was functional with some channels in high definition. The worst part for me was I couldn't get the internet. I tried the password that was provided and it kept searching for a signal. After about an hour I gave up. I was just too tired to call the front desk. The woman that worked at the front desk was very nice and made you feel welcome. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Adequate stay in West Frankfort
If staying in West Frankfort, your options will be limited. This hotel clearly shows its age, but the operators seem to be doing what they can to provide those staying with an adequate experience. The beds were comfortable, the AC worked. The room seemed to be generally clean. They did advertise breakfast, but we saw no sign of anything nor given any specific information about when/where it was provided.

Run down older hotel with very little accommodatio
The front desk staff is rude and inconsiderate and needs to learn how to properly make reservations.
