Ebborways Farm was exactly what we were looking for. It's situated in a great part of England, with the Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole and other must see locations nearby, and it's village, Priddy, is quintessential English countryside.
The farm itself is spacious enough, but I also liked that the main house only catered to a few rooms, which helps maintain its very quiet ambience. It's the complete opposite of a hotel chain.
The staff were wonderful, the breakfast is what you would expect, the price was very reasonable. Everything was right. Sometimes you can select a place that looks just right, but you didn't realise it was next to an airfield, or a factory, or a pelican farm (been there, Florida), or it was run-down, or the service was terrible, or whatever else it is that's going to ruin the experience.
Not so, here. It was just right.
