Hotel is located in a decent area and some other hotels are also near by . We stayed due to history of the hotel. No exceptional service was provided by the hotel staff . Room was ok with basic amenities. They may want to upgrade the hair dressers in the room as the current ones are out dated.

They treat me like family here. If you have any time to visit Washington D.C. this place is one of my favorite places to stay. Safety is their #1 concern for guests. That’s why I stay here.

Aware it's a historic and iconic hotel, it is too dated. It is like traveling back in time. Rugs and furniture need to be refreshed. Location is unbeatable when in town for business, and staff was superb. Restaurant was great too.

It’s very clean, regal, and fits the DC “vibe” in a unique way. I love that it’s a Marriott without feeling like one (in a good way.) They don’t offer room service which is kind of inconvenient, but they do have a to-go option when their restaurant is open. Check-in staff were personable and very accommodating. Extremely close to a metro entrance which makes a huge difference!

The room was clean. The staff member that cleaned 929 was very attentive. So friendly. The room was dated. The location was perfect. The staff were helpful in the reception area. The wi fi was fine. The breakfast was nice. A good variety.

Quality has suffered. The front desk agent was impatient and unclear. No one opened a door for me any of the 3 times I came and left. Room service has been shut down. There were no water bottles in the room and nowhere to get a snack, not even a vending machine. I was given a $700 suite since nothing else was available. (Really?) The overhead light was missing a bulb in the main room and there was no chair in the bedroom, so the only place to read was sitting on the bed. The mattress was too small for the bed frame so I kept hitting my shins. The breakfast restaurant messed up my simple order. There was only one server covering the entire restaurant. She was very kind and clearly put her best effort into her job, but management had made that job very difficult. What can I say that is nice? The lobby is beautiful. The restaurant is, too. The bathroom was very nice. My room was quiet. I wish I had a better report. I wish the hotel hadn’t made me feel sad about the state of the Marriott world.
