"If you’re ever in the Missoula area, Lolo Hot Springs is but one of a myriad of hot springs up and down the Rockies. Being only +/-25 miles outside of Missoula, one cannot help but feel lost in a wilderness you’re not sure if you know how to get back out of it. Splurge on the rooms attached to the main lodge house (12, I believe). These rooms really have that comfortable, warm, Montana-feel and they are attached to the two indoor, temperature-variant hot pools. Very clean and the “hot” one was just perfect for me at 102F.
There’s a large jug of fresh mountain water. I would suggest maintaining it with ice as much as is feasible. It also wouldn’t hurt to slice up a citrus or two (lime, lemon, orange, etc) into the water or go more savoury with rosemary and cucumbers. Give those pools a “spa” feeling to stay hydrated.
The breakfast is okay, could be better. Though I guess our stay was a tad on the early side of the summer season and thus, basic choices.
There is a bar/restaurant in the next building over. Pretty decent pizzas LOADED with ingredients and cheese. Burgers. Full bar, TVs, pool tables, and gambling machines for your entertainment.
But the most AWESOME amenity is no amenities at all. There is no cable/satellite TV, there is no internet, there is no phone service in any of the guest rooms or cabins. They have a fun throwback library of DVDS you can take to your rooms. There are TVs attached to the players. Besides sex, that’s your entertainment for the evening."
