"We had a pleasant stay at Mercure Beijing Downtown overall. The staff was very kind and always willing to help, although communication in English was somewhat limited at times. One of the highlights was definitely the breakfast—amazing variety and quality, with plenty of options to choose from each morning. The rooms were also very spacious and comfortable, and we appreciated having bottled water provided daily. One thing to note is that during this season, the hotel does not have air conditioning running—only a fan system. Unfortunately, this made the room warmer than we would have preferred, especially at night. Another downside was the limited dining schedule, as both room service and the on-site restaurant close at 9:00 PM, which can be inconvenient after a long day of exploring. Overall, it’s a solid option with great breakfast and comfortable rooms—just keep a few of these details in mind when booking."

"I really liked the room that had free cute little snacks, coffee, teas, and water bottles. The shower and toiletries were very nice. There were even slippers for you to wear in the room. I was, however, a little confused about my room as I was told that it was in the building next door and it was not mentioned on the website that there were two separate buildings. The breakfast was nice. The staff didn’t speak that much English but used electronic translators to communicate. So in general I had a pretty nice stay. "

"Check-in staff seemed unfriendly. Room was spacious, with a very good view of the surrounding area. Breakfast buffet had many delicious options, mostly northern Chinese breakfast cuisine. Hotel is about a five-minute walk from subway station."

The room is clean and tidy, and sleeping on the large bed is very comfortable. The room is also clean and hygienic. The staff was extraordinarily kind and accomodating of the language barrier."
