"Okay, so this hotel probably hasn't been updated since the 1980s. It reminds me of some places I stayed in St Petersburg in the early post-Soviet years. The halls smell very strongly of cigarettes (but my room did not). Okay, so they reuse the same key card for each room, and they even reuse the same little laminated folder to keep them in…the one I had was heavily used.
