"The room was modern clean and spacious. All the amenities were wonderful and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We also ate at the Union House restaurant that is attached to it. The food was amazing and Goos was an awesome server."

"Everything about the Hotel Karel V was superb except for the WiFi, which was remarkably slow for such a quality establishment. During a four night stay I never measured higher than 12Mbps down/4Mbps up, although the hotel web site advertises “high speed” wireless. Something to be aware of if your travel needs include fast WiFi."

"We stayed at the wonderful Eye Hotel for seven nights in July. We were so happy we chose this hotel as our home base as we toured Utrecht and did day trips to Amsterdam, Delft, and more. The Eye Hotel is in a great area which we found to be very central and within walking distance of amenities. Slightly tucked away on a quieter street, it was nice to be away from the noisy areas but still feel like we were in a hip spot. The hotel and room itself were wonderful! Very clean and more than enough room for two - we stayed on the second floor. Air conditioning was very much appreciated. Although we didn’t have the breakfast which looked great, the free lattes and cappuccinos in the morning were a great way to start the day. We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back again in the near future."

"What a beautiful hotel. We were upgraded (not sure why) to a room on the main floor and it was HUGE and beautiful. Beyond expectations. It's in a prefect location for exploring Utrecht but a quiet street tucked behind the Domkerk. The customizable continental breakfast was tasty. I wish we had stayed here longer as the courtyard looked very inviting. So close to shops and restaurants and convenient for the train station."
