We stayed here for one night and was extremely happy with it. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. The manager told us where to park at Giethoorn and where to hire a boat enthusiastically. Parking is easy, we parked right outside the premises. Dinner is very nice and price is reasonable. Most guests sit outside to have drinks and get back indoors to eat as it was windy. However, there is no lift, it will cause some problems with heavy luggages. We packed only the essential items to bring them into our room and leave other things in our car. It was not a problem for us.

Outstanding hospitality and service
A magnificent heritage hotel set in beautiful surrounds makes a stay here one that you will always remember fondly. The excellent evening meal served outdoors due to the hot weather could not be faulted. Breakfast the following morning provided a fitting finale to a memorable stay.

Magnificent stay
This place was gorgeous! My wife and I loved it. Very nice staff, great food and drink and a very unique atmosphere. If you’re visiting the area and/or Giethoorn, I highly recommend spending a couple of nights here.

I chose to stay in Vollehove completely based on the hotel which is an old palace. It was an excellent decision. The building and grounds are beautiful and wonderfully maintained. The hotel staff is so friendly and does everything to make us feel welcome. The dinner we had in the exquisite dining room was perfect! What a perfect way yo end a two week trip through the Netherlands.

Wat een parel van een hotel! Bij aankomst werden wij allerhartelijkst ontvangen door de gastheer en kregen een mooie kamer in het koetshuis. Een hele mooie belevenis.

4 stjerner, men for hvad?
Skulle være så godt. Levede bestemt ikke op til de 4 stjerner. Havde bestilt en junior suite. Den var mørk og trist på førstesalen i et aneks. Kun et lille vindue. Der var kun meget lidt varme på. Så en værelsestemperatur på 16-17 grader bidrog ikke til oplevelsen. Prisen stod slet ikke mål med oplevelsen. Der kommer vi ikke igen.

We experienced a very dedicated staff and management, who made us feel appreciated as guests. We warmly recommend this place. The restaurant was excellent and served food at gourmet level. We wouldn´t hesitate to come back.

Leuke mooie nette hotel met goed eten met een fantastische chefkok en bediening die zeker tijd voor de gasten namen. Klant was dus duidelijk koning. Klein puntje dat zij servetten handoeken gebruiken met rafelige kanten.( niet allemaal).

Zeer aangenaam verblijf gehad van meerdere dagen In OldRuitenborgh. Zeer prettig boutique hotel, vriendelijke staf en een schitterend historisch pand. Heeft ook een goed eigen restaurant en er zijn ook goede restaurants op loopafstand (Robuust is een aanrader). Locatie is fantastisch: een landgoed midden in het stadje Vollenhove. In nabijheid van diverse nationale parken en Hanzesteden. Absoluut een aanrader.

Eines der Lustschlösschen der Region, liebevoll renoviert und instandgehalten. Sehr netter Empfang, ich habe mich selten so willkommen gefühlt. Neben den tollen Räumen, der liebevollen Gestaltung, auch der weihnachtlichen Schmückung, war auch das Frühstück hervorragend. Ich komme sicher wieder!
