We booked this at the last minute on the day of and were pleasantly surprised at how nice this place was. Room was super comfortable, everyone was very friendly and bonus was finding out this hotel opened its doors in 1244.. you read that right. Historic hidden gem. Loved it.

I had a fantastic dining experience at Gasthof Ochsen in Vöhrenbach. The food was absolutely delicious, and they offer an impressive selection of excellent beers. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great cuisine and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The staff here was excellent, friendly . The place originally was built in 1240 so it a part of history. The food was great! . 5 generations of owners . It is a must stop on your travels

Staff was nice, the restaurant has a play area for kids and good German food, although a bit pricy. Room was clean and had a shared kitchen area with a refrigerator and microwave. Didn’t have a problem finding parking nearby. While there’s not a lot to do in town, Triberg is only a 20min drive which has a train station, and other cities/towns with more to do are nearby. This is a good spot to stay

nice hotel

our room was located above hotel's restaurant, so there was noise and cigarettes' smoke till midnight. although the weather was very hot, there was neither air condition nor ventilator. breakfast was great.

Everything was wonderful. Beautiful suite newly refurbished. Kitchenette for all to use with mineral water in the fridge. Must keep glass bottled water at the location & recycling bottles after usage. All meals were delicious. Host is extremely friendly and helps you understand the meals. Property owners do speak English but be patient as there are a little bit of a language barriers. Extremely thankful for the hospitality.

We really liked our room, it was modern, clean & the communal kitchen & complimentary bottled water was a plus. The beds were comfy and the room was well equipped for our toddler and baby, with a baby changing table, potty and step. The staff couldn't do enough to accommodate us, especially as my partner had a dairy allergy, they contacted the bakery for allergens and made him fried eggs as the eggs usually on offer contained dairy. Our only niggle (which the guest house can't do anything about) is that there was no lift, and we had to park our car across the road from the hotel. We had to make several trips to and from the car for all our luggage & as you can imagine we don't travel light with two little ones, it meant several trips up and down a flight of stairs, luckily it was just one flight of stairs though. There was even an area for kids to play at breakfast time and a high chair for our young baby (supported). I also wasn't aware of a tourist tax for the Black Forest & don't recall it being mentioned when we booked the hotel. We were given a guest card on arrival.

Preis - Leistung stimmen! Optisch in die Jahre gekommen, aber adäquat und sehr sauber. Sehr kindgerecht eingerichteter Frühstücksraum, Spielsachen. Wirklich hilfsbereit: meine Brille war defekt. Die Wirtin rief sofort beim nächsten Optiker an und meldete uns an, notierte die Adresse für uns ,... ganz herzlich.
