"Where to begin with how amazing this hotel and its staff are. Upon arrival we were offered a delicious Kopke ruby port as the head receptionist checked us in. Our room accommodations were amazing as well and were very spacious and clean. We reserved a room with terrace overlooking the Douro and were just in awe. All the amenities were so useful including Nespresso maker, towel warmer, Bluetooth speaker system and amazing night time turn down service. One of the best add ons was definitely the breakfast. So many delicious options and made to order eggs every staff member made our stay feel like home. Lastly but most importantly the staff member that created a new friendship. At the hotel bar Diogo shared his wine knowledge and kind Portuguese hospitality making us feel like a local, his mixology creations as well as delicious suggestions kept us coming back night after night for a late night finishing drink and great conversation of Portuguese culture. Christmas was so much more magical in Porto because of this hotel and its staff including the live jazz on Friday nights. We will definitely be back in 2026!"
