My husband and I enjoyed a week in this beautiful home. Lorraine the manager made sure we had a driver, food and things to do. I would recommend this place if you like nature and privacy. The view is beautiful and the neighborhood is safe. I plan on going back one day with friends.

Close to airport, you are actually in someone’s house which they converted into separate rooms. The owner was very nice the road to get there is quite narrow we rented a car and paid a taxi to show us to the property especially because we came in on a later flight.

Lorraine was very helpful in providing information, taking me shopping and was available at any time to answer questions. Had the whole place to myself, and really enjoyed that. Room was nice and clean, had AC & shower in room. Bed was nice and clean and I slept very well all nights. Property was within driving distance of great snorkelling spots and within walking distance of Anse des Sable beach and the town of Vieux Fort. Quiet & safe, did not see any people walking around the area at night or in the day.

This really is a paradise

I stayed at the upper house. I was the only person there other than host (this is someone's home). It is a beautiful property part way up the hill with a fantastic view of the sunset and of the Pitons in the distance. It is very quiet there for a good night's sleep. I really needed a break at the time and this was the perfect place for it. I walked up 30 minutes to the observatory at the top of the hill for a beautiful view of the southern part of St. Lucia. Later in the day, I walked another 40 minutes to the beach by the airport for a good lunch and some more relaxation. The host will arrange for taxi rides to and from either airport. The taxi company can arrange for excursions if you want. I would highly recommend if you want to get away from it all.

Unique-very close to airport-perfect for one night-Lorraine is actually AMAZING!!! great to talk to and an attentive wonderful hostess who even made us coffee rolls and local fruits. And extra coffee too. We loved this place. Not for those wanting a traditional hotel experience

Lorraine was GREAT. We loved talking to her and all of her help. Our only wish is that the room could've been cooler and the water could've been hotter. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Room with balconies was beautiful with a beautiful view of ocean. Lorraine (the owner) went above and beyond, driving us to a restaurant and taking us on a tour. She is a very sweet lovely lady, and provided coffee and treats.

Best value for money on the island

So many good things to say: great value for money, superb view, quiet and friendly area, lots to do. Hands down the best thing about the stay was Lorraine the host. A lovely and knowledgeable lady originally from new York who had plenty of warmth, stories, history of the island and travel tips to share

A Peace of Paradise rests along a peak heading toward Vieux Fort Lighthouse. There are clear views of the harbor and beautiful sunset walks. The home is spacious with 4-5 rooms to let. The one I was in had a private bath with a giant shower. There is a huge kitchen with all the amenities. There are many outdoor areas to rest in-most with water views, some with open sun. One beach, "The Reef" is on the Atlantic Ocean with several restaurants and a windsurfing lesson/rental. Another close beach is Laborie Beach. However, no beach is within walking distance, so a taxi is needed. My right-hand man was Lambert. He drove me everywhere: drive-in volcano, mud baths, waterfalls, beaches, restaurants... and banks. Thanks to Lorraine-an ex-patriot and a St. Lucia resident for over 20 years-, I was guided in the right direction and had a relaxing and wonderful time.

Perfect end to our 3 week trip.

One week stay. Great house for our final stop. Two friendly dogs to welcome you. Lorraine was a great host nothing was to much trouble. She took us out round the local area and to the grocery store on our arrival and back to the airport when we left. The house is spacious with great views over the whole of the Southern part of the island and is within walking distance of the town and beach.

lorraine, the owner, was friendly and helpful ! clean room; nice grounds and veranda. nice quiet area, with a fun walk up to the lighthouse for beautiful views of the island. there are amenities in town which is about a 20-30 minute walk or a short taxi ride. there is also a beach which is easy to get to by taxi or a pleasant 40 minute walk if you're not in a hurry. vieux fort (the name of the area) and moule a chique (the specific neighbourhood) is well-connected to the other parts of the island by taxi or minibus, and it is close to the international airport.

Awesome secluded little place

It was awesome! Lorraine is a great hostess. Absolutely loved the steamed bread for breakfast. If you like quiet this is your place!!! I would come back!!

Un réel coin de paradis!

Nous avons passé deux nuits à cet endroit et nous avons vraimemt apprécié! Notre hôte, Lorraine, était vraiment très gentille et aimable. Elle nous a très bien servis et nous a donné de très bons conseils sur Sainte-Lucie! Nous avons apprécié la terrasse commune où l'on peut relaxer en regardant la nature, les jardins, ainsi qu'une panoplie d'oiseaux et de geicos. Lorraine nous a dit que notre chambre allait être rénovée sous peu, cela lui fera du bien mais elle comblait tout nos besoins. Pour souper, il n'y a pas grand choix à proximité excepté l'auberge ; The Fox Grove inn. à une dizaine de minutes à pieds. Nous y avons soupé deux fois et c'était très bon! Nous vous recommandons aussi d'aller faire de la tyrolienne et visiter la plus haute chute de St-Lucie au Treetop Adventure! Nous y avons eu bien du plaisir! (Environ 100$ us / personne). En somme, nous vous recommandons cet établissement si vous êtes de passage sur la côte est de l'île!

Magical jungle paradise

We had the most wonderful experience with Lorraine. She showed us around town and gave us really great recommendations around St. Lucia. Some of our favorite adventures were ones she mentioned. Highly recommended!

Rural location

A small guesthouse with basic facilities surrounded by forest. A car is essential. The landlady could not have been more helpful but mosquitoes were a bit of a problem.

Very nice peaceful environment

We did a full circle of St Lucia with this being our last 2 nights. It was hard to figure out how to get there but after an email we were told by our host that we could take the bus to Mamiku Gardens and get them to call our host of a pickup. The house is very close to Mamiku Gardens. (Side note Mamiku Gardens was very quite since it was a drought and not that attractive a place that point in the year). The house was a great spot with a great yard and covered porch to relax in. We were told the best things to do in the area and ended up spending our free day there at the beach by "The Reef". The only downside to this place was that it was very hot at night with no A/C. But it was a great experience of interior St. Lucia, just remember this is not a resort but a bed n breakfast. If that is what your looking for you should have a great relaxing time.

Delightful place and wonderful host

A lovely great value option in a remote part of the island far away from all the tourists and resorts. Very peaceful and the owner Lorraine is very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.
