The staff was very nice. The location, right on the malecón is great for enjoying the beach. You can walk out on the nearby breakwater. The zocalo, the main plaza of Veracruz is a 25-minute walk away.

The staff were incredibly welcoming the minute we stepped into the hotel, which was a nice feeling after traveling for a long period of time. Our view was incredible as well since we chose a room with an ocean view. I will say, though, that one little invonvenience was the elevator. There were times when it was not working too well, taking a little longer to open once we reached our floor of choice. Other than that though, wonderful experience, would come again.

The beach view was obstructed with dirty windows. The management staff was undertrained and was unable to process a credit card transaction for the New Years dinner. Plus the advanced payment for one night of the reservation. Which has NEVER happened before. I received an email demanding that I pay for the first night to hold the reservation made two prior.

Our room was dirty, with visible dirt and sticky patches on the floor, grime on the walls and stained curtains. It also smelled overwhelmingingly like mildew. There was also a high pitch loud whistling sound all night from the wind outside so we did not sleep well.
