"This place is stunning, simply put. They thought of everything - none of the details were missed. Hairdryer in room, spacious bathrooms and spotless rooms, lovely breakfast included. The views, flowers, sounds of birds and refreshing pool are what makes this a special place. Very close to train station in Regua, with lots of restaurants close by."

"We had a wonderful stay here! The location is convenient for winery hopping in the Douro Valley and the view into the valley is spectacular. It is very near a little town (Armamar) that had several delicious restaurants. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We highly recommend their wine tasting with the cheese/charcuterie platter accompaniment - it was the perfect way to start our stay in the Douro when we checked in!"

"We were heading out very early one morning for a tour and because breakfast was not served until 8:30 we would have missed it. They left everything in the fridge se we could help ourselves to breakfast very early. Very much appreciated. Susanna was wonderful and made us a fire and was very welcoming."

"The staff here, aside from the lovely man in the dining room for breakfast , were minimalist at best. The front desk staff were well below par. The hotel is pretty basic and the town itself doesn’t have a lot to offer - look elsewhere for a Douro experience unless you want to see the church stairs."

The place was very clean and the staff were excellent - helpful and friendly (one staff member remembered our room number on only our second morning for breakfast!). "Close to historic site and restaurants. Excellent breakfast and the massage was good. Hotel bed, room, and bathroom is a good size. The downside is you’ll need to pay for spa services daily to use the pool. Hot tub is luke warm and the steam room could use eucalyptus or something to give it a spa feeling. Would be nice if pool access didn’t require a spa service. Also cap purchase required if you didn’t bring your own."
