This hotel is excellent. The dinner dishes were delicious and the room was nice. View in the river and mountains was amazing. Staff was very friendly. We had to dry our clothes because we hiked the Pupil Rock in heavy rain. The staff was nice to show us how to use the drier and gave us a token for free :)

Excellent

Wonderful location and surroundings. Quiet and peaceful. Room was great, comfy beds and had a good night's sleep. Good parking (we were on a motorbike and parked directly out the front of the building). Evening meal was excellent. Breakfast was also superb - lots of choice and really good quality. Only stayed for one night as we were passing through, but would have been happy to stay longer. Staff all friendly and welcoming.

We stopped for one night on our way between Oslo and Stavanger as it wasn't too far from Kjerag; absolutely beautiful place with loads of walks and things to do locally - wish we could have stayed longer!

Bait and switch

Paid for a 4 guest room since it was the only one on offer, although we were 2 guests. Were assigned a 3 person room with the 3rd bed carved out under the sloping roof, so barely a proper bed with ceiling height well below standard.. Asked for at least a partial refund. The shifting excuses to avoid recognizing the shortcoming did just add insult to injury.
