"The pools and the area: amazing! the view from our room was breathtaking and unforgetable. I loved hight ceilings. Although, I was dissapointed by the hair dryer as it was really old and not a strong one. It was like somthing you would expect to see at a very cheap hotel. Also, the have a nice tradition of putting chocolate on the pillow before the bedtime, but they only put it 1 time out of our 3 nights. It is fine with me, it just the kids heard it and then they were a bit dissapointed....

"The farm was so charming—including the goats and pigs! It felt secluded, safe, and had an excellent view of the farm and lake. The staff were sweet and attentive and the food was amazingly tasty."

"The service and rooms were 5 star and we really enjoyed every aspect of our stay. We stayed in their suite with our two adult children and everything was amazing. Bedding was also top notch as my wife is very picky with beddings and she was very happy with the quality of the mattress and beddings. I give this resort a 5 star"

"He had the best time at Los Lagos Hotel! The hot springs were absolutely amazing and beautiful, and the property was very clean. The staff was so nice and welcoming. The food was delicious — we had breakfast at the restaurant, and by the afternoon we were so tired we ordered room service. The restaurant even accommodated a different menu for us, including pizza for the kids, and it was delicious!"

"The many hot and cool pools were always clean and never crowded . Staff were so helpful and friendly. Always leaving a special surprise in our rooms . The buffet breakfast had a large selection of western breakfast options as well as a Costa Rican option ."

"Stunning views from restaurant and room across as far as lake Arenal. All the food offerings were fantastic from breakfast to evening meals using home grown and home made items. Regular supply of wildlife to keep you entertained. Only slight negative was a reasonably long walk up a steep hill to get to the nearest shops etc but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also be aware there is no A/C in the rooms if you are as lucky as we were with the weather."

"The view and the owner/hostess made our stay! The personal attention at breakfast was delightful. This feels more like renting a villa with a morning chef than like a hotel. There are a couple good restaurants at the bottom of the hill for dinner. The drive to La Fortuna is 30 minutes. Be aware there is no air conditioning. There are windows with screens on 3 sides of the villa so the breeze is nice. In the morning you’ll hear a beautiful symphony of birds. I would stay here again."
